festa!

ciao tutto! come va?

lovely day today...woke up and thought i overslept cos it was so bright and sunny! it was 6.45am and looked like it was 10am already!
yesterday was the italian national day!!..there was fireworks ( sigh we missed it cos we were eating peanuts at home!!!hahah...only heard the 'pop' 'pop' 'pop' sounds on the way there..eesh!) and a concert by the river. was fun though...very festive and we were all dancing on the bridge!

had a dinner party on sat too...it was so good!! we cooked chicken curry ( it wasn't too bad! it was a bit spicy for some of them but the mexicans and others who fancy hot stuff liked it!)and also fried dong fen
....the spanish cooked 'pollo alla pera' ( chicken with pears )...it was super yummy!! tender soft chicken with red wine and pears... also there was spanish hams and bread with tomato salsa...woolala!!
....from romania we had cheeses and hams too...and boiled eggs filled with tuna patè..and a typical romanian easter bun-cake
...a portugese guy baked a portugese tea cake and made this absolutely devilishious chocolate cake!! it was like cookies soaked with milk and rum layered with rich chocolate mousse..wah...damn shiok!
we all ate till we were so full!! and there was still so much food left...we continued eating again the next afternoon!! oosh...

the rest of the weekend was pretty quiet cos it was raining and most of the engineering students have exams...and we had project work to do as well...
but i'm counting down to thur when me and weiying will be leaving for sweden!! ahh... exciting!!
